What I do & Who I help
For many years now I have had the pleasure of helping people to find their inner strength, helping to restore their self-confidence and self esteem, managing chronic pain, guiding in the relearning of how to pick up their lives after being victims of crime, comforting when coping with serious illness, developing coping mechanisms to deal with sustained anxiety, workplace and school place stress, bullying, workplace politics and much more, and it is a privilege to work with all these people. I also have the pleasure in helping woman to have easier births using relaxation methods, help people to get over driving test nerves and through examinations, help people to stop smoking, helping prepare for job interviews, or presentations, mentoring those who want to get into the caring profession, businessmen who want to hone their presentation or management skills, helping people to get through the dentist door, restoring sleep patterns, aiding people in building better relationships with their loved ones, to regain self respect and much more.
Self development and self growth are arguably more important now than they have been for the last 10 years at least. We are moving into times where emotional balance and harmony are vitally precious. We have to look after ourselves; it’s not selfishness, its self preservation. There are many demands on each and every one of us, and it’s up to us to get through them, and to do it we need to be in the best emotional place we can. We need to create balance and harmony within, to cope with these demanding times, one thing we can’t do is expect to keeping going and not expect to pay the emotional cost if we do not protect ourselves from these challenges.
This week I was talking to a client who said something really interesting about her journey and my services. She said that the phrase hypnotherapy did not do my services justice. Hypnotherapy has helped me immensely she said, however the talking we have done, and the way I had made it easy for her to learn about herself, presenting new ideas and concepts and options of choice, had been totally unexpected, but extremely valuable, and were also reinforced by the hypnotherapy. As she said, there is much more to it than people may think.
Some people still see hypnotherapy as ‘a bit of alternative’, others are well aware of its benefits and uses, though is should be noted too, that it has an impressive history, it has been proven, through medical research and patient trials to be a valid treatment option for many medical and non medical conditions, it can be used alongside mainstream treatment or as a standalone option. I am grateful for her kind words.
Now onto something happier, Christmas is rapidly approaching, a time to be with family and friends, to share precious times. Try to resist getting sucked into the rush of the festive season, remember the often stated phrase “what we don’t have now, we will do without”! And it holds true. To those who have given feedback about by writings over the year, thank you for your comments. To all readers, I wish you all a peaceful and healthy Christmas.
