mission
Innovation & Research Award Winner 2005
This breast cancer care CD is not an alternative but rather a complementary treatment option widely acknowledged as another method of cancer support, treatment and information after breast cancer. It is an inspirational CD recording and mp3 download which is currently being used or recommended in over 100 English NHS hospitals, in workshops, with programme information given in oncology department discharge packs. Shipped from UK or Mid West USA.
Coping with Anxiety
There is a natural tendency to feel anxious when a diagnosis of breast cancer is given – this is actually quite normal – this program of gentle guided imagery and hypnotherapy will help you to cope and reduce those feelings of anxiety to help guide the body to make it more receptive to the various medical interventions and procedures needed. Research studies show that when the body is less anxious, individuals will demonstrate better healing and coping with illness
Background of CD development
Emotional recovery after breast cancer CD or download history of development.
Breast Cancer pain relief
Breast cancer needn’t always be synonymous with pain, but regrettably it can be a fact. When medications fail to provide relief, or as an adjunct to them, the Chronic Pain program can prove to be a very effective tool in addressing pain associated with cancer and other existing conditions. Using gentle guided imagery and hypnotherapy, pain can be reduced or even eliminated, thereby providing your body with the tools you need to help you heal and ease your mind to know you can cope a bit better and more easily. The sessions can be used during treatments, or as needed – some find one particular session – Light Count – can be especially helpful in taking the edge off of intensity during times of acute pain.
General Relaxation
Worry and just the stress of a medical condition can make it difficult to fully relax and let go so that your body can restore and renew itself – relaxation through guided imagery and hypnotherapy can effectively provide your body and mind with a boost to keep going and making the journey lighter
Insomnia: Restoring natural sleep patterns
Concern about the initial cancer diagnosis, various treatments and worry can play havoc with sleeping patterns – this program may be helpful to aid in sleep – especially when sleep aid medication is contraindicated due to other medications or conditions, or personal preference.
Simply Music
There are times when you just don’t need words – Simply music can put you into a soothing mood without any previous associations to other music melodies you already know – a gentle balm to help you relax – also a good way to mask “medical” sounds during procedures or the noise heard while in hospital, or while waiting for procedures, to keep you feeling safe and calm.
Start Afresh 28: Stop Smoking
You certainly are already aware that smoking causes additional stress to the body. If you are a smoker and your physician has indicated that you must stop smoking in order to more successfully progress with your cancer therapy, and you are ready to give up smoking, this program may be a helpful adjunct to your overall healing by using guided imagery and hypnosis to help you quit and progress more optimally with your complete medical treatment.
Stress Awareness
Illness of any kind causes stress to the body. With a diagnosis of breast cancer, you are aware of at least one source of the stress. This program can help you cope with the known cause, as well as the subsequent related sources – pressures of family, lifestyle changes, and other areas of your life that become changed. This program of gentle guided imagery and hypnotherapy helps you through it
