You may already know Michael is well known for his work in gastroenterology especially in the IBS arena; however for some considerable time he has been working with cancer patients, helping to relieve pain, reduce emotional distress, helping loved ones too, to come to terms with the illness and on occasion’s end of life issues.
In 2005 he received an innovation and research award for his work in emotional recovery after breast cancer, his work resulted in the CD program ‘An Aid to Emotional Recovery After Breast Cancer’. Information on this recognised treatment option is being included in hospital discharge packs in over 100 NHS hospitals.
In this workshop Michael presents his experience and knowledge, gives an introduction to the disease and its impact on the sufferer’s life, and shows how specific hypnotherapy processes can be applied to aid the physical and emotional healing, and reduces treatment induced symptoms, and also help at end of life.
In what is designed to be an informative day, Michael delivers his experience and knowledge in his own way, which aims to ensure all attendees leave with knowledge, understanding and encouragement to make their contribution in this most rewarding of areas.
